Los Angeles Lakers small forward Kyle Kuzma threw down a monster dunk on top of Denver Nuggets small forward Michael Porter Jr. during Sunday night's NBA Western Conference game at the Pepsi Center.
It happened in the third quarter with the Nuggets holding an 80-67 lead. Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope took a 3-point shot that bounced off the rim. While Porter was in position for the defensive rebound underneath the basket, Kuzma started moving in towards the basket behind Porter from the opposite end of the 3-point line. As the ball bounced off the rim, Kuzma was leaping for the rebound before Porter had even left the ground. The end result was Kuzma grabbing the rebound and throwing it down for the slam in one motion, knocking Porter to the ground on the follow-through.

Now that is a bit embarrassing for Porter, but hopefully a lesson learned. He has to be more ready for that defensive rebound next time.
Kuzma finished the night with 19 points and 8 rebounds in 26 minutes. Porter finished with 8 points and 3 rebounds in 30 minutes.
The Nuggets won the game 122-115 to raise their record to 15-11, 7th in the Western Conference. The Lakers record is now 21-7, good for 2nd in the Western Conference.
