A courtside fan was ejected from Friday night's game at the Staples Center for slapping the hand of Los Angeles Lakers guard Rajon Rondo during Friday night's NBA game at the Staples Center against Phoenix.
The officials moved Rondo away from the fan as Staples Center security immediately moved in and asked the fan to leave the game. That was absolutely the right thing to do.
It happened with under two minutes remaining in the third quarter as the Suns held a huge 89-57 lead over the Lakers. Rondo was in the corner of the court during a timeout on the floor as the officials were helping Russell Westbrook line up for an inbounds play on the other sideline. Rondo appeared to be pointing to a fan in the front row when the fan inexplicably pushed Rondo's hand out of his way.
The Lakers tried to rally in the fourth quarter, but fell short as the Suns won the game 115-105. The Suns got their first win of the season, while the Lakers fell to 0-2.
