Iowa Heartlanders wear Batman jerseys for ECHL game vs. Fort Wayne

In minor league hockey news, the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL wore special Batman hockey jerseys for Friday night's game against Fort Wayne. 

The Heartlanders held DC Comics Night, and in addition to the custom jerseys, Batman himself made an appearance at the Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa.

Fans had the opportunity to take pictures with Batman before the game, which we're sure the kids enjoyed. During the game, a live auction was held for the game-worn jerseys. 

The Heartlander players kept their focus on the game at hand and beat the Fort Wayne Komets 4-2. However, they did seem to enjoy playing superheroes for a night.
