An Oakland A's ballboy earned a well-deserved round of applause with a diving catch of a foul line drive during Saturday night's game against Texas.
It happened in the top of the eighth inning with the Athletics holding a 3-1 lead. With a runner on first, Rangers batter Adolis Garcia hit a line drive foul towards the Rangers bullpen on the 1-2 pitch. Before the ball could bounce, the A's ballboy protecting the bullpen dove to the ground and made the fantastic grab.
The ballboy held the glove up to show everyone that the ball was in it, then nonchalantly got up and tossed the ball to a fan like it was no big deal. Meanwhile, the home crowd showed him some love, and even Rangers reliever Jonathan Hernandez, who was warming up in the bullpen, gave the ballboy a hand for laying out to catch that ball and protect him.An amazing grab from the ball boy pic.twitter.com/LGtVqMrroJ

Somebody get this ballboy a contract...or at least a starting position on his local high school team.
