New Orleans Pelicans guard Elijah Stewart threw down a putback slam despite losing his shoe during Wednesday night's NBA Summer League game against Washington.
It happened a few minutes into the third quarter with the Wizards holding a 51-48 lead. As John Petty Jr.'s 3-point attempt bounced off the rim and multiple Wizards waited for the ball to fall to them, Stewart came in from the 3-point line and threw down a nasty dunk, then put his shoe back on.
It is unclear from the video how Stewart lost his shoe, but it sat on the ground outside the paint for most of the offensive sequence.𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐣𝐚𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐭 lost his 👟 during the possession and still threw it DOWN! 🤫#SummerPelicans #NBA2k23SummerLeague pic.twitter.com/nDpBBxnaoC
