Freeland had a 5-2 lead heading into the fifth inning, but gave up a home run, double and single that shrunk the lead to 5-4. He was pulled without recording any outs and was clearly not happy, as he grabbed a bat and used it to slam the dugout ceiling three times, causing debris to fall to the ground. Afterwards, he tossed the bat and released an expletive before finally calming down.

Rockies reliever Jhoulys Chacin gave up the tying run in the fifth, which was charged to Freeland.
However, the Rockies scored three runs in the sixth and held off the Padres the rest of the way to earn an 8-5 victory, so hopefully Freeland feels a bit better. He may have to pay for damages to the dugout ceiling, though.
