BREAKING: Jalen Rose is not good at golf ~ Holdout Sports

Jack Nicklaus gives golf tips to Jalen Rose, Ally Challenge Celebrity Shootout, 8/27/2022

ESPN NBA commentator (and retired NBA star) Jalen Rose took part in Saturday's Ally Challenge Celebrity Shootout to help the PGA Tour Champions, the professional senior men's golf tour, raise some money for charity. During the event, Rose showed off his golfing skills - or lack thereof, as proved to be the case.

With hundreds of fans watching, Rose struggled to make quality shots. In fact, he frequently found it difficult to simply make contact with the ball.

In this video, Rose's tee shot only goes about 20 feet, causing him to ask for a do-over.

Here, while sporting an NFL jersey of Detroit Lions rookie Aidan Hutchinson, Rose repeatedly whiffs on the ball before golf legend Jack Nicklaus gives him some helpful advice.

After watching these videos, to say that Rose is not a good golfer may be an understatement. Rose makes Charles Barkley look like Tiger Woods.

All in all, we have to give Rose credit for stepping up. To help raise money for a good cause, Rose was willing to step out of his comfort zone, even at the risk of looking a bit silly. Most importantly, he was a great sport through it all, laughing and enjoying the moment. Nothing wrong with that. [LBS]
