Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was given a delay of game penalty after spiking the ball in frustration during Sunday's game against Carolina.
It happened with under three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter as the Bucs were on offense with 3rd and 3 on their own 47-yard line while holding a 24-21 lead. On the play, Brady was sacked by Panthers linebacker Frankie Luvu for a 7-yard loss. Brady got to his knees and slammed the football down on the ground. Two officials were nearby, and one of them threw the penalty flag on Brady.
Brady did not realize that the penalty was on him, as cameras captured him asking the referees "What happened?" He expressed his frustration during other moments of the game, further solidifying the belief of some fans that Brady is a "cry baby".Tom Brady gets called for delay of game after spiking the ball pic.twitter.com/OT3iDNB9gp
