Westbrook has shown himself to have some thin skin recently, having several confrontations with fans sitting near courtside of Clippers games and in some cases pleading with security to have the fans removed from their seats. In this case, apparently before he headed to the locker room at halftime, Westbrook walked right into a suite behind Section 101, which is located behind the Suns bench. A security guard positioned himself between Westbrook and the fan, who was sitting down on a couch enjoying a beer, as Westbrook told the fan "Watch your mouth, m-----f-----."
It is not clear why this particular Suns fan was singled out by Westbrook. Westbrook had another off night shooting, going 3-for-19 shooting for 9 points. However, he did grab 11 rebounds and dish 8 assists, falling just short of a triple-double, as the Clippers beat the Suns 115-110 to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
