Bryce Harper slams HR, calls out heckling Rockies fans (Video)

Bryce Harper calls out heckling fans, Phillies vs. Rockies, 5/13/2023
Philadelphia Phillies slugger Bryce Harper quieted a group of heckling Colorado Rockies fans with a clutch home run during Saturday night's game at Coors Field.

It happened in the ninth inning with no outs and a runner on first as the Phillies held a 5-4 lead. On the 1-2 pitch, Harper crushed an 85 mph curve ball 435 feet off the facing of the second deck in right field to extend the Phillies lead to 7-4. After crossing home plate, Harper stared at some Rockies fans in the front row as if to say "What do you have to say to me now?"

To close things out, after accepting congratulatory greetings from his teammates, he came back to the top of the dugout to call out that same group of Rockies fans. Harper was captured on camera saying "Hey, what happened? F---ing losers."

Harper has been known for having a temper in the past. Back in 2016 against the Rockies, he was ejected for slamming his helmet after a called third strike. In this case, however, he kept himself relatively restrained. We do not have any video of the Rockies fans taunting Harper, so we cannot confirm whether Harper's response off the field was justified. However, he certainly seemed to enjoy getting his revenge.

Harper finished the game 2-for-4 with that big home run and a double as the Phillies came away with the victory to extend their winning streak to five games.
