Atlanta Braves right fielder Ronald Acuna Jr. crushed a monster home run into the upper deck during the first game of Monday's doubleheader against the division rival New York Mets.
It came in the second inning with no outs and the bases empty. The Mets had just brought in reliever John Curtiss to replace starter Denyi Reyes after giving up three runs in the first inning and a 2-run homer to previous Braves batter Kevin Pillar that gave the Braves a 5-1 lead. After working the count to 3-1, Acuna hit a four-seam fastball into the front row of the upper deck, where an incredulous Mets fan was perfectly positioned all by himself to make the catch.
The home run was measured at 448 feet, marking the 25th home run of his career that was hit farther than 440 feet. Acuna displays amazing power. The only thing stopping that may scare him is giant flames. This guy had Acuña positioned perfectly in the third deck pic.twitter.com/jrOxxEzKK4
