A member of the Cincinnati Reds grounds crew found themselves caught underneath the tarp as it was spread across the infield during a rain delay in Monday night's game against San Francisco.
The game was stopped in the top of the eighth inning with one out and runners on second and third with the game tied at 2-2. The grounds crew grabbed the tarp near the edge of the outfield grass on the right side of the field and ran with it towards the third base line. However, one of the grounds crew members slipped, fell and found themselves swallowed by the tarp as the rest of the crew left him behind to finish covering the field. The Giants broadcasters couldn't contain their laughter.
This isn't the first time we have seen a grounds crew member trip and fall underneath a tarp during a rain delay. Unfortunately, it's an occupational hazard that comes with the territory. This grounds crew member was eaten by the tarp ðŸ˜ðŸ˜… pic.twitter.com/G0m80IQHO2
