It happened with under five minutes remaining in the second quarter as the Thunder had just scored on a layup to extend their lead to 40-28. Potter telegraphed the inbounds pass and Mann stole it at the three-point line, giving him an easy scoring opportunity. Potter had no chance to stop Mann, who posterized him with a tremendous slam dunk that brought the Thunder bench to their feet.
Talk about adding insult to injury, as Potter paid for the bad inbounds pass by being on the receiving end of that jam. Being posterized is part of the game in the NBA, so hopefully Potter can learn from this and turn it into a positive.
Tre Mann had a strong performance with 20 points and 7 rebounds in 33 minutes as he helped lead the Thunder to a 95-85 victory. Potter finished with 10 points and rebounds for the Jazz.
