A group of Big Ten men's basketball officials have some explaining to do after failing to call an obvious traveling violation by Illinois senior forward Marcus Domask during Sunday's conference game against Nebraska.
It happened with just under three minutes remaining in regulation as Illinois held a 72-65 lead. Domask missed an offensive jumper, but grabbed his own offensive rebound underneath the basket. Finding himself double-covered, he pivoted to pass the ball to a teammate. However, in the process, he got away with taking at least six steps without a whistle.

We have seen plenty of traveling violations that were not called by officials, but they were almost always in NBA games. We have never seen traveling like this in college basketball. This instance was absolutely horrendous. No excuse for missing this. These officials need to be called out for missing this.
Domask finished with 19 points in 43 minutes of game action, including two free throws in the final 30 seconds of overtime, to help the Fighting Illini to an 87-84 victory over the Cornhuskers.
