ESPN suffered an embarrasing moment during its broadcast of Saturday's Big 12 men's basketball game between the University of Central Florida Knights and the visiting Cincinnati Bearcats.
Pro Football Hall of Famer James attended the game in Orlando, Florida to see his son Edgerrin James Jr., a.k.a. Jizzle James, as he returned to his hometown as a member of the visiting Bearcats. The televised ESPN broadcast knew he was at the game and made it a point to highlight that to the viewers at home. Unfortunately, the man they showed on camera that they identified as Edgerrin James was NOT Edgerrin James.

Not sure what it was about this man that made ESPN think that it was James, but they were clearly wrong. The real Edgerrin James was sitting courtside.

We have certainly seen media put the wrong face with a name before, and this probably won't be the last time it happens. However, we hold ESPN to a higher standard, and there is no good excuse for this.
