Toronto Blue Jays shorstop Bo Bichette was ejected from Saturday's MLB game in Washington when he slammed his helmet down after striking out on a called third strike.
It happened in the top of the fifth with no one on and nobody out as the Blue Jays held a 4-0 lead. After fouling off a 3-2 pitch, Nationals pitcher Jake Irvin threw a 93 mph sinker that appeared to be a touch outside the outer edge of the strike zone, but home plate umpire Jonathan Parra called strike three. Bichette did not agree with the call and threw his helmet down on the ground hard as he walked away, leading Parra to toss him from the game.

We could not see if Bichette said anything to Parra, but by showing up an umpire like this, he opens the door for being ejected, and that's what Parra did. Two wrongs don't make a right. Hopefully Bichette can learn from this and contain his anger next time around.
The location of the pitch was similar to the called third strike to Aaron Judge that ultimately led to his first career MLB ejection earlier today. However, in Judge's case, his ejection was related to comments he made to the umpire as opposed to displaying his anger in such a way to show up the umpire like Bichette did.
Bichette finished his day 1-for-3 with a run scored. He was replaced by Isiah Kiner-Falefa.
