Oswald Cabrera HR gets stuck in foul pole vs. Orioles (Video)

New York Yankees third baseman Oswald Cabrera managed to hit a home run so hard that it got stuck IN the foul poul during Wednesday night's game in Baltimore.

It happened in the top of the fifth inning with two outs and a runner on the first while the game was still scoreless. On the first pitch of his at-bat, Cabrera hit a fly ball down the right field line towards the foul pole. Although it was clear that the ball cleared the wall, umpires and broadcasters were initially confused what had happened since the ball did not bounce off the foul pole like it normally would. It took a few seconds for everyone to see that the ball was stuck in the grating on the bottom part of the foul pole, making it indisputable that it was a home run.

We can certainly agree that we have never seen a "wedgie" home run like this, although we have seen a home run ball bounce on TOP of the foul pole once. If you watch MLB long enough, you'll see just about everything.

As it turned out, Cabrera's 2-run HR accounted for all of the runs for the entire game as the Yankees beat the Orioles 2-0, bringing them back into a tie for the lead in the American League East division. They will play one more game tomorrow to break the tie between them.
