Milwaukee Brewers catcher William Contreras knocked over a Boston Red Sox fan's popcorn during Friday night's game at Fenway Park.
It happened in the top of the third inning with one out and a runner on first as the Brewers were leading 1-0. Contreras hit the 1-0 pitch over the Green Monster in left field. As a female fan tried and failed to catch the home run ball with her cap, the ball bounced off a wall behind her and knocked over her bucket of popcorn.

On one hand, that's a darn shame to lose that full bucket of popcorn. We know those ballpark concession prices are crazy, so that bucket did not come cheap. On the other hand, what are the chances that a home run ball would hit the exact spot where the bucket of popcorn was sitting? Contreras couldn't do that again if he tried.
This comes just a few days after a Phillies fan lost her nachos as she tried to use the tray to catch a home run. The Red Sox fan in this case didn't do that, but she still lost her food. That's a hard lesson to learn: If you are going to spend your hard-earned money on ballpark food, you better protect it.
Contreras finished 2-for-4 with a walk and that home run as the Brewers beat the Red Sox 7-2 to increase their lead in the National League Central to 2 1/2 games over Chicago.
