Future NBA draft pick Zach Edey threw the ceremonial first pitch at Tuesday night's Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field, and it did not go so great.
The center from Purdue stepped on the mound with a custom Cubs jersey with his last name and number 15 on the back. Cubs mascot Clark set up behind the plate to catch Edey's pitch. Edey showed good form on the windup, but his throw was a few feet outside and bounced into the backstop.

This is definitely not the worst ceremonial first pitch we have ever seen, but certainly could have been better. There's a reason he plays basketball instead of baseball.
Edey is in Chicago preparing for next week's NBA Draft Combine. The 2024 NBA Draft will be held June 26-27. It will be the first time the draft is spread over two nights instead of one.
