The Texas Rangers invited a mariachi band to perform during Monday night's game against the visiting New York Mets, but the song that they played was not a conventional choice.
The band performed the song "Higher" by Creed, and based on the video, it actually worked quite well.
There is a Mariachi band performing “Higher” by Creed at the Rangers game right now.

You certainly don't see this every day. The Rangers should give their public relations department a big raise.
For Rangers fans, this was likely the highlight of the night. As of this writing, the Mets were blowing out the Rangers 14-2 after eight innings. This will be the sixth win in the row for the Mets, keeping them undefeated since Grimace throw out the first pitch for them last week.
