Venezuelan pro golfer Jhonattan Vegas found himself in an unusual situation when his tee shot landed on the arm of a policeman during Sunday's final round of the 3M Open.
It happened on the par-5 12th hole with Vegas holding a 2-stroke lead over the field. Vegas pulled the shot left towards the trees when it somehow landed on the arm of a member of the Blaine (Minnesota) Police Department. The officer held his arm near his body and remained in place until Vegas arrived to pick it up, allowing the officer to resume his duties.
This was not the only peculiar situation that occurred on Sunday, as Davis Riley found his ball wedged in the leg of a lawn chair.
Despite the bad lie, Vegas managed to save par for the hole, which is an accomplishment in itself. However, by finishing the round at 1-under, he managed to hold off the field and win the tournament.
