Clark Atlanta University is going viral for installing a bright red turf football field for the 2024 season.
The HBCU competes in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and spent $1 million on the new turf field. The first home game for the Panthers is September 7th against Allen University.
As far as the bright red color of the field, you be the judge:

We here at Holdout Sports are generally not fans of the colored fields in general, and the bright fields are even more concerning. We think the NCAA should follow the lead of the NFL and insist that all fields are some shade of green.
In the case of Clark Atlanta, the color could be worse. It could have been bright orange.
The Panthers have lost 13 straight games dating back to October 2022. We wish them luck in the upcoming season.
