Los Angeles Sparks coach Curt Miller was ejected from Tuesday night's game in Connecticut for running onto the court to argue a no-call with a referee.
It happened with under 1:30 remaining in the fourth quarter with the Sun holding a 69-59 lead. As Sparks forward Stephanie Talbot had the ball stripped from her by Sun guard Marina Mabrey, Miller ran onto the court and got into an official's face to argue that Mabrey fouled Talbot. The official immediately tossed Miller, who had a few more comments for the official before walking straight to the locker room.
The Sun beat the Sparks 69-61. The Sparks have now lost 5 straight games and hold the worst record in the WNBA Western Conference. Given that there was little time left and the outcome had been decided, Miller apparently used the opportunity to get tossed in order to release some frustration.
