Eli Manning throws ceremonial first pitch at Yankees game (Video)

Eli Manning throws first pitch, Blue Jays vs. Yankees, 8/4/2024

New York Giants legend Eli Manning threw the ceremonial first pitch for Sunday's New York Yankees game against Toronto.

The Yankees were celebrating the upcoming 100th season of the New York Giants, who actually played their home games in the old Yankee Stadium from 1956 to 1972. Manning was also honored by the Yankees with his own commemorative bobblehead which was given out to the first 18,000 fans to arrive at the stadium.

Manning came out to the mound in his number 10 Giants jersey. Although Manning's throw was a bit high, he showed that he still had some strength in his arm to throw a fast ball.

Manning's throw was better than some other first pitches thrown by athletes, and it was much better than some first pitches thrown by celebrities that we have seen over the years.

The Yankees went on to beat the Blue Jays 4-3 in 10 innings.
