Rapper/musician Machine Gun Kelly throw the ceremonial first pitch for Tuesday night's Cleveland Guardians game against the visiting Chicago Cubs, and it was not your standard first pitch.
Machine Gun Kelly lined up on the pitcher's mound and wound up, then ran a few steps off the mound and threw the ball into the stands.

You certainly don't see that every day. On the other hand, this was an easy way to avoid an embarrassing moment that would last forever on the Internet, a la 50 Cent.
Machine Gun Kelly spent a good portion of his youth in the Cleveland area, winning many Ohio Hip-Hop Awards, so the Guardians were honoring him with "MGK Day". In addition, the first 10,000 fans to arrive at Progressive Field for the game received a 4 ounce bag of "The Blonde Don" light roast coffee courtesy of MGK's local Cleveland coffee shop, "The 27 Club".
It would appear that MGK brought the Guardians some luck as they beat the Cubs 2-1. The Guardians now have the best record in baseball.
