Top-ranked golfer Scottie Scheffler slammed his club in frustration after a poor shot out of a bunker during Thursday's first round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, TN.
It happened on his third shot of the par-4 13th hole after his second shot landed in a bunker outside the green. Scheffler got a little bit too much under the ball with his club, and he chipped it over the hole by about 5 yards. Scheffler knew immediately that his shot was bad, and he released his frustration by slamming his club in the sand.

Scheffler is less than two weeks removed from winning the Olympic gold medal in Paris, so that should help him put things in perspective.
Scheffler finished with a bogey on the hole, but he shot 4-under for the round and is tied for fifth overall for the tournament. He is only two shots behind leader Chris Kirk.
