Twins usher makes one-handed grab of foul ball vs. White Sox (Video)

Twins usher makes one-handed grab, White Sox vs. Twins, 8/4/2024

A Minnesota Twins usher made an impressive barehanded catch of a foul ball during Sunday's game against the visiting Chicago White Sox.

It happened in the bottom of the sixth inning with one out and nobody on as the Twins held an 8-3 lead. Twins batter Royce Lewis hit a foul ball behind home plate that appeared to be headed towards the front row of the press box. The usher standing in the back row of the section in front of the press box saw the ball coming, leaped up and grabbed it out of the air with his right hand, possibly saving a computer monitor from being damaged in the process. No hesitation, even without a glove, and made it look easy.

When a replay was shown on the video board, the usher humbly showed his apprecation to the crowd as they gave him an ovation.

We have seen some impressive fan foul ball grabs over the years, but we haven't seen an usher show this much athletic ability. The Twins may have to give him a pay raise.

The Twins beat the White Sox 13-7 to complete a three-game sweep. The White Sox have now lost an incredible 20 straight games and are far and away the worst team in MLB with a record of 27-87.
