Colorado School of Mines Orediggers redshirt junior punter Blake Doud booted an 80-yard punt during Thursday night's 41-13 win over the West Texas A&M Buffaloes.
It happened in the third quarter with just over three minutes remaining as the School of Mines held a 34-13 lead. On 4th and 11 from their own 19-yard line, Doud lined up on the 5-yard line, took the snap and booted the football high into the air. It went over the returner's head and hit the ground on the 20-yard line, then took a few favorable bounces toward the end zone that allowed the Mines punt team to down the ball on the 1-yard line.

Doud was a Division II All-American last season, and he seems to be on pace to be in the conversation again this season. It's not often that a college football punter goes viral, but this year seems to be different.
Colorado School of Mines won the game 41-13 to start the season 1-0.
