Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle sat out Saturday's game against the L.A. Dodgers, but he did manage to make an impact with a young fan prior to the game.
The young Rockies fan made a sign offering to make a trade with Doyle for a bag of watermelon-flavored Sour Patch Kids. Doyle happily agreed to the trade. He handed one of his bats to the fan and she gave him the candy. They took a photo together to "confirm" the trade.
A fair trade between Brenton Doyle and a young fan… that’s a big bag of sour patch watermelon!!!!!! pic.twitter.com/QCXJWSu787

We have seen NHL players trade sticks for candy, so this is becoming more common with pro athletes. It's a great way to connect with the young fans. We just hope they don't get too many cavities.
Although the Rockies lost the game 13-2, we're sure that this fan still went home happy.
