Cat runs onto field at Baylor-Air Force football game (Video)

A cat found its way onto the field during Saturday's NCAA football game between the Baylor Bears and the visiting Air Force Falcons.

It happened with about 4:15 left in regulation with Baylor holding a comfortable 31-3 lead. Baylor was running down the clock as they had 1st and 10 at the Air Force 39-yard line. Somehow a beige cat found its way onto the field near the 20-yard line in between the sideline and the hashmarks, which is when Fox Sports 1 cameras managed to capture the cat on video.

However, after the cat stopped and took a look around, it quickly ran back towards the sideline and off the field.

We cannot blame security in this case, as cats can be hard to catch. However, this raises the obvious question as to how the cat not only made its way into the stadium, but also onto the field. We would be interested to hear the answer, but it may be difficult to track down.

Although the college football season is less than a month old, we have already had our share of animal pitch invaders this year. A week earlier, a rabbit made its way onto the field at Northwestern.

THe cat had no outcome on the final score as Baylor wound the clock all the way down to wrap up the 31-3 victory.
