Champ Anthony crushes Andrew Armstrong with bonecrushing hit (Video)

Champ Anthony destroys Andrew Armstrong, Arkansas vs. Auburn, 9/21/2024
Auburn Tigers junior cornerback Champ Anthony smoked Arkansas Razorbacks senior wide receiver Andrew Armstrong with a bonecrushing hit during Saturday's SEC conference game at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

It happened in the first quarter with the game still scoreless as Arkansas started an offensive drive with 1st and 10 on their own 19-yard line. Quarterback Taylen Green faked the handoff, dropped back to pass and threw the ball to Armstrong running towards the sideline at the 35-yard line. Armstrong caught it, but lost the ball, and his helmet, as Anthony crushed him with a perfectly-timed hit.

The hit was clean, so there was no penalty called on the play. Armstrong was attended to by the Auburn medical staff, but came back into the game later on the same drive. Arkansas drove 81 yards for a touchdown, and Armstrong finished the game with 5 catches for 47 yards.

The Razorbacks beat the Tigers 24-14. No word as to whether Arkansas RB Ja'Quinden Jackson waved to any cheerleaders after his touchdown.
