LSU senior wide receiver Kyren Lacy was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty due to an inappropriate celebration after scoring a touchdown during Sunday night's season opener in Las Vegas against USC.
It happened with 7:04 remaining in the second quarter as Lacy caught a 19-yard TD pass from quarterback Garrett Nussmeier to tie the game at 7-7. After dancing a bit with his teammates, Lacy was heading back to the sideline when he used an "air shotgun" to "shoot" a group of USC players as he passed by them.

Lacy was immediately flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, which would be enforced on the ensuing kickoff. There are plenty of fun ways to celebrate touchdowns, but simulating violence cannot be condoned. No question about it that Lacy deserved to be flagged for this. Hopefully Lacy will not even think of doing that again.
