Rece Davis was encouraged to change his red tie by the thousands of Cal fans that attended Saturday's live episode of College GameDay.
College GameDay came to Berkeley, California for Cal's ACC home debut against Miami. Many of the fans lined up since midnight local time to be a part of the festivities.
Before the live show started, Kirk Herbstreit pointed out the red tie that Davis was wearing. Given that red is the primary color of conference rival Stanford (who also made the switch to the ACC prior to the 2024 season), Cal fans began shouting "Take it off!"

Davis complied, and the crowd responded with huge cheers.
College GameDay has had its share of hilarious live television moments over the years, which makes it always worth watching. You never know what will happen.
