The Colorado State Bulldogs recovered their own kickoff for a touchdown during Saturday's Mountain West Conference football game against the Nevada Wolf Pack.
It happened early in the third quarter after Jordan Noyes kicked a 21-yard field goal to give the Bulldogs a 20-0 lead. On the ensuing kickoff, there seemed to be some confusion by the two deep Nevada kickoff returners, Ky Woods and Sean Dollars. Both of them ran forward to block for the other, but neither of them caught the ball.
As the ball bounced on the 10-yard line and rolled towards the end zone, Dollars scrambled back for it, but was hoping that it to cross the goal line for a touchback. Instead, the ball slowed down near the 1-yard line, at which point Dollars tried to pick it up. However, it was too late, as Colorado State WR Caleb Goodie collided with Dollars and knocked the ball into the end zone, where defensive back Jace Bellah fell on top of it for an easy touchdown.
Oh no, Nevada...

We see returns for touchdowns all the time, but recovering your own kickoff for a touchdown is extremely rare. However, those are the rules, as any kickoff past 10 yards is a live ball that anyone can recover.
Although Nevada tried to rally late, they lost to Colorado State 38-21 and remain winless in conference play.
