Washington Wizards small forward Kyle Kuzma got away with a double dribble on a drive to the basket during the late moments of Wednesday night's game in Philadelphia.
It happened with under 1:30 remaining in regulation with the Sixers holding a 101-100 lead. After Sixers forward Caleb Martin missed a 20-foot jump shot, Wizards forward Corey Kispert grabbed the rebound and passed it to Kuzma near midcourt heading the other way. Kuzma took a long dribble, then put both hands on the ball near the three-point line, then took another dribble towards the lane and made another step with the ball before scoring on an easy layup, giving the Wizards the lead.
The Sixers took a full timeout and coach Nick Nurse was apoplectic after the missed call, which was inexplicable. Making matters worse, the officials reviewed the play, but the no-call stood.

It is not unusual for NBA officials to miss obvious calls, but you wonder how all three officials on the court miss something as obvious as this.
Fortunately, karma made up for the bad call as the Sixers went on a 7-1 run in the final 1:18 to win the game 109-103. Meanwhile, the Wizards have the worst record in the NBA.
