An Oklahoma City Thunder fan successfully made a shot from halfcourt to win $20,000 during Thursday's NBA game against Dallas.
It happened during a timeout with 6:14 left in the second quarter with the Thunder leading 48-42. 19-year-old Jake Amy was the lucky fan that was picked to make the shot attempt as part of a promotion sponsored by MidFirst Bank. Amy's shot took a few lucky bounces off the rim before falling through the net. The Paycom Center crowd stood up and cheered to celebrate.

It was the first successful shot attempt this season as part of the Thunder halfcourt shot promotion. Things are going a lot different this season than they did in 2013, when two fans hit the shot to win during the same week, with one of them getting to shake hands with Jay-Z.
