Buffalo Sabres rinkside broadcaster Rob Ray dropped a massive F-bomb after taking a puck to the face during Saturday's NHL game against the New York Rangers.
It happened at the 17:38 mark of the first period with the Sabres holding a 4-0 lead. Ray was sitting between the team benches as Rangers defenseman Will Borgen cleared the puck from inside the Rangers blue line towards center ice along the boards in front of the benches. Sabres left winger Beck Malenstyn tried to stop the puck, but instead deflected it straight into Ray's forehead, leading Ray to scream "Ah, F***!" which was fully captured by his microphone for all TV viewers to hear.

Ray seemed to be OK as he remained standing and appeared to be alert. A Sabres medical trainer immediately came over to check on him. Ray is lucky the puck did not hit him in the mouth, as we have seen players get teeth knocked out after getting hit in the face.
Ray resumed his rinkside position later in the game with visible swelling on the lower part of his forehead, along with visible cuts above his nose and left eyebrow. Ray mentioned during a timeout late in the game that he got a couple of stitches.

Ray played for the Sabres for over a decade, setting a team record for most penalty minutes. He serves as more proof that hockey players are the toughest athletes in the world.
As for the game itself, the Sabres blew out the Rangers 8-2. The Sabres are still in last place in the Atlantic Division, but they still have some fight left in them.
