Canadian PGA Tour golfer Adam Hadwin accidentally activated a sprinker by smashing his club on the ground during Friday's second round of the Valspar Championship.
It happened on the 10th hole with Hadwin at 1-over par for the round and the tournament. After a bad shot on the 10th, Hadwin released his frustration by smashing his club on the ground. Unfortuantely, he hit a sprinkler head with the club, and it immediately began spraying water everywhere. Hadwin tried to stop the sprinkler by stomping on it, but was unsuccessful, leaving him feeling sheepish. He was apologetic to those nearby.

We have seen some golfers cause damage by smashing clubs before, but this was pretty funny, as evidenced by the nearby fans who got a good laugh out of it.
Hadwin is no stranger to peculiar circumstances. Back in 2023, he was tackled by security as he ran onto the green to celebrate with his friend Nick Taylor, who had just won the RBC Canadian Open.
This incident perfectly sums up how the rest of his day went. Hadwin finished the hole with a double-bogey and finished the round at 5-over par, missing the cut by three strokes. Sometimes it's just not your day.
