A pair of Los Angeles Dodgers broadcasters were photobombed by the Pokemon cartoon character Pikachu prior to Tuesday's MLB season opener against the Chicago Cubs in the Tokyo Dome in Japan.
Stephen Nelson and Kirsten Watson were on the field before the game to give Spectrum SportsNet LA viewers a preview of the matchup when Pikachu walked into the middle of the camera shot behind them, stopped, and stared into the camera. To their credit, Nelson and Watson were not distracted and continued on without any interruptions.

As part of the pregame festivities, there were multiple Pikachus positioned around the field wearing Dodgers and Cubs jerseys.

Pikachu may be the most high-profile character to attend a sports event involving a team from Los Angeles since Buddy the Elf attended a Kings game back in December.
Although Los Angeles is closer to Tokyo than Chicago, the Cubs are the home team for the Tokyo Series.
