Evander Kane takes puck to head, Kings vs. Oilers

Edmonton Oilers left winger Evander Kane took a puck to the head while sitting on the bench during Sunday's Game 4 of their Western Conference first round playoff series against Los Angeles.

It happened at the 2:31 mark of the third period with the Kings leading 3-1. With the Oilers inside the Kings blue line, the Kings were able to gain possession of the puck to clear it. Defenseman Brandt Clark sent a wrist shot over to right winger Adrian Kempe, who knocked the puck up in the air and out of play. Unfortunately, the puck came down on top of Kane's head.

Luckily, Kane was hit on the top of the head and was not seriously hurt since he was wearing a helmet. A few years back, Kane took a stick to the face at the Winter Classic.

Kane finished with four big hits, and the Oilers rallied to win the game 4-3 in overtime to tie the series at two games apiece. Game 5 is in LA on Tuesday.
