SF Giants LF Heliot Ramos hits walk-off Little League HR vs. Rangers (Video)

Heliot Ramos doused with Gatorade, Rangers vs. Giants, 4/27/2025

San Francisco Giants left fielder Heliot Ramos hit a walk-off single that turned into a Little League home run thanks to some bad throws in the field during Sunday's game against Texas.

Ramos was the leadoff batter in the bottom of the ninth with the game tied at 2-2. On the first pitch of his at-bat, he hit a short grounder towards third that was fielded by Rangers reliever Luke Jackson. With his momentum carrying him towards the third base line, Jackson made an off-balance throw towards first base that went wide of the bag and into the wall allowing Ramos to reach second easily.

Right fielder Adolis Garcia and first baseman Jake Burger chased after the ball. It took them so long to get to the ball that Ramos took the opportunity to run for third. Burger reached the ball first and threw to third, but his throw was wide of third baseman Josh Smith, allowing Ramos to reach home safely and give the Giants a 3-2 win on an unbelievable finish.

The official scoring on the final play was an infield single for Ramos and an error by Burger. The Giants celebrated the win by dousing Ramos with Gatorade.

We see Little League HRs from time to time in the major leagues, but this may be the first time we have seen a walk-off. The win kept the Giants a half-game ahead of the Dodgers for first place in the National League West division.
