Kevin Gausman stumbles down dugout steps after being removed from game (Video)

Kevin Gausman argues with umpire, Blue Jays vs. Yankees, 4/27/2025

Toronto Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman stumbled down the dugout steps while arguing with an umpire after being taken out of Sunday's game in the Bronx against the New York Yankees.

Gausman was removed from the game after giving up six runs on three hits and five walks in 2 2/3 innings. He was unhappy with several calls by home plate umpire Chris Conroy and made his feelings felt as he left the mound, resulting in a symbolic ejection from Conroy. Gausman continued to yell at Conroy from the dugout when he appeared to miss a step as he headed into the locker room. As a result, he quickly fell out of camera view as he stumbled down the steps.

We certainly hope Gausman is OK, as that would be a terrible way to suffer a serious injury. There are many ways to get hurt while leaving the dugout if you aren't careful.

Gausman took the "L" as the Blue Jays lost to the Yankees 11-2.
